6 day tour from Agadir to Marrakech:
Day 1: Meet and greet at Agadir airport – Explore Agadir – Taroudant:
Meet and greet at agadir airport. we will drive to the Kasbah of Agadir Oufla; This citadel, situated on the hill overlooking the bay of Agadir, was built in 1540. The walls were restored after the earthquake of 1960. It is the ideal place to watch the sunset over the sea. From here you can enjoy a breathtaking and spectacular harbor views. After that to the Port where you can have a walk through the bustling harbor where local fishermen sell their catch. two fishing ports, a large commercial port and the recent marina. A lunch is planed to enjoy it there.
Then a gentle drive through the souss plain with a quick stop on the way to spot the flying goats on argan trees, will bring us to the ancient walled city of Taroudant, which was a capital during the Saadi dynasty, for now it’s a very friendly berber village overlooked by the high atlas mountains. Night in a Riad/Hotel.
Day 2: Taroudant – Taliouine – Taznakhte – Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah – Atlas studio – Ouarzazate:
After breakfast in your accommodation in Taroudant, We will drive through Taliouine, a little village known for its saffron, and stop at one of the saffron cooperatives for a drink of saffron tea. It’s also an opportunity to learn how to distinguish between’real’ saffron and the cheaper ‘fake’ versions. After a peaceful stay, we’ll continue on to Taznakhte, which is now a major hub for making Berber rugs.
Then we’ll continue on our journey till we arrive at Ait Ben Haddou’s stunning Kasbah. A kasbah belonging to one of the most powerful families in Morocco. “The Glaoui family” lived in Morocco throughout the 16th and 17th centuries. It’s also regarded as an excellent example of Moroccan mud clay architecture. Since 1987, it has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It was also a location that drew numerous filmmakers, and it appeared in several films. Such as (“Prince of Persia ” “Gladiator”…) .
A lunch will be prepared for you to enjoy in this old kasbah. After that, we’ll travel to Ouarzazate, known as “Africa’s Hollywood,” a place that has enticed numerous filmmakers to use it in their films due to its unusual scenery. You will get the opportunity to tour “The Atlas Studio,” which is one of Morocco’s largest film studios. We’ll drive you to your hotel or riad after you’ve had a fantastic time in the studio, where you’ll spend the night with a delicious dinner.
Day 3: Ouarzazate – The Anti Atlas Mountains – Agdz – Nkob – Alnif – Rissani – Merzouga desert – Camel ride:
After breakfast in your accommodation in Ouarzazate we’ll start our day to a new destination. The magnificent sahara desert of merzouga. On our way we are going to enjoy the beauty of the anti atlas mountains. Via the road of Tizi N’Tnifift which is the second pass on our way with an altitude of 1660m. Offering you charming views as far as the eye can see. We will stop by, so you can get the chance to take some great pictures and to admire the place. After a quiet stay, we will head to Draa Valley. The former route of caravans for Sahara traders coming from “Tombouktou”. In Draa Valley You will have the opportunity to see the biggest and longest palm grove in the country. In a mood of ancient caravans with spectacular views.
Then we will continue to Nkob. Then to Alnif and you will have time for lunch in one of the local restaurants in Nkob or Alnif. After restoring, we will resume to Rissani itself is very interesting town. Between the 14the and 18the centures it was the location of the famed desert capital, “Sijilmassa”. Where fourtunes in gold and slaves were traded via caravans crossing the sahel. In this old and historical area you will visit the largest local and traditionalist market (Souk) in the Southern Morocco.
Eventually, arriving at Merzouga where you will ride your camels into a magical world through the sandy dunes of Erg Chebbi, with a panoramic view of the unique sunset of the Sahara. Finally, you will get to our camp in a relaxing mood, you will have a delicious and authentic Berber (Amazigh) dinner in the heart of the desert and a night gathering around the fire with Berber music under an endless starry sky.
Day 4: Merzouga desert – Erfoud – The Irrigation system – Todra Gorges – Dades Gorges:
It is recommended to wake up in early morning. So you can not miss one of the most beautiful sunrise in your life. After breakfast in the camp you will have two choices. Either to come back to the village by camels or by car. From there we will start our day to Dades Gorges. Our first stop it will be Erfoud: It is one of the oldest known sites. Where you can find precious and unique fossils. Then to The Irreyation System: which begines in ancient times. Diverse societies on both sides of the High Atlas Mountains in Morocco. Built thousands of wells and tunnel systems similar to qanats in Iran or foggaras in Algeria. These systems called khettaras in Morocco.
After that, we will continue our way to Touroug then to Tinjdad. You will have time for lunch in one of the local restaurants in Touroug or Tinjdad. After restoring, we will continue towards our unique place. Which is Todra Gorges it’s the highest narrowest spectacular gorges in Morocco. 300 meters high and at their most narrow are a merely 20 meters apart. Also recognized around the world as one of the most spectacular Canyons. After a short walk around the immense cliffs and enjoying the amazing landscapes. We will drive to Dades Gorges where you will enjoy the night with authantic dinner in a Riad/hotel.
Day 5: Dades Gorges – Roses Valley – Amridil Kasbah–Skoura Oasis – Telouat kasbah – The High Atlas Mountains – Marrakech:
After breakfast in your accommodation in Dades Gorges, we’ll head to the Red City (Marrakech). Our first destination will be Rose valley It’s well worth taking the time to stop and smell the roses. (Friendly Reminder: The best season for rose viewing is in late May).
Then to Skoura Oasis, known as the road of one thousand kasbahs. There you will have the chance to visit an old kasbah which is Amridil Kasbah. It’s Morocco’s most coveted kasbah in this 17th century wonder. After having a great time in the Kasbah, we will continue on to Ourzazate.
Afterward, through the high Atlas mountains, to visit the Glaoui family kasbah (Telouat). Then via the road of Tizi-n-Tichka pass, the highest road in Morocco, with an altitude of 2260m, offering you charming views as far as the eye can see. We will stop by, so you can get the chance to take some great pictures, videos and to admire the beauty of the tiny Berber villages, valleys and oasis. And you will have time for lunch in one of the local restaurants there. Then we will continue our way to Marrakech. Night in a Riad/Hotel.
Day 6: Marrakech sightseeing – Transfer to the airport:
After breakfast our day will start from your accommodation exploring Marrakech (the red city). We will ensure you to see the most important historical and cultural sites, including the Saadian Tombs. Then to Bahia Palace which is a late 19th-century palace in Marrakesh. After, we will walk through the old historic part of the city. What we call the Old Medina to enjoy it’s souks and narrow streets and the Jemaa El-Fnaa Square. You will have time for lunch there. Afterward, we will walk to the Koutoubia Mouque.
Then we will drive to visit the beautiful Majorelle Garden which was designed by the French artist, Jacques Majorelle (1886-1962). After that to Menara gardens which are a historic public garden and orchard in Marrakech.Eventually, Departure you to the airport, Here unfortunately our wonderful experience will end.
